On the afternoon of October 12, 2017, local time in Pakistan, HEI and the Quaid-e-Azam Thermal Power Private Limited (QATPL) signed a long-term operation and maintenance contract for the Pakistani Bhikki 1180MW Combined-cycle Power Plant Project in Lahore, Pakistan. The successful signing of the contract not only created a precedent in HEI’s long-term operation and maintenance achievements, but also turned HEI into one of the few companies with 9H gas turbine operation and maintenance achievements in the world. President of HEI Mr. Qu Aimin and the project director Mr. Li Chao attended the signing ceremony.

The power plant operation and maintenance is not only an important measure of HEI to extend its EPC core competitive advantage to the downstream industry, but also an important link of the whole EPCO industry chain of HEI. The 1st Thermal Power Division of HEI, as the Bhikki project EPC execution team achieved the milestones of each node of the project and created multiple “world records” and won high praise from the owners by strictly controlling the plan implementation, attaching great importance to the safety work and rigorously managing the quality, which laid a solid foundation for the successful signing of the operation and maintenance contract. HEI will seriously perform its contract obligations in the 12-year long-term operation and maintenance period, provide a combined-cycle power plant with stable operation and excellent efficiency for Pakistan, build comprehensive images of HE and demonstrate the quality of HE to the public.
