On July 18, Harbin Electric International (HEI) held its 2026 Mid-Year Work Conference and Strategic Implementation Promotion Meeting. The meeting was convened to implement the key directives from Harbin Electric Corporation’s 2026 Mid-Year Work Conference and Strategic Implementation Promotion Meeting, systematically review the company's achievements in the first half of the year, accurately assess the current development landscape, and comprehensively coordinate and deploy key tasks for the second half of the year. The meeting further strengthened confidence and united efforts to drive a strong start and solid foundation for the 15th Five-Year Plan period through concrete actions and tangible results. HEI Chairman Li Chao attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Vice Chairman and General Manager Li Mo presided over the meeting. Members of the company's leadership team put forward work requirements based on their respective areas of responsibility.
The meeting noted that, in the first half of the year, all company leaders and employees remained committed to overcoming challenges and making solid progress, achieving positive results across various areas and laying a strong foundation for meeting the annual targets. The company's key economic indicators maintained steady growth, market development efforts gained momentum across multiple fronts, major projects progressed in an orderly manner, lean management continued to deepen, and overall safety and quality performance remained stable.
The meeting emphasized the need to seize opportunities arising from the global energy restructuring, benchmark against the development goals of the 15th Five-Year Plan, and address existing weaknesses and shortcomings. It called for the strict implementation of the group company (Harbin Electric Corporation)’s “Six Guarantees” requirements, further strengthening accountability, and making every effort to stabilize the foundation for business operations and development. The company will remain focused on its annual business objectives, increase efforts to achieve breakthroughs, and drive development to a new level.
The meeting called for the company to clarify its position within the industrial chain, industry standing, and differentiated competitive advantages, while defining its development path to provide strong support for the formulation of precise corporate development strategies. It emphasized the need to coordinate development and security, uphold the bottom lines of legality, compliance, rationality, and sound business practices. The company should focus on key international markets, develop differentiated market strategies, enhance the marketing capabilities of all employees, and ensure the targeted implementation of high-quality projects. The meeting also called for deeper implementation of the special initiatives on “eliminating extensive management practices” and lean management, tapping into management potential, and comprehensively improving quality and efficiency. Efforts should be intensified to advance the integrated improvement of the “three-in-one” framework, fully leveraging the coordinating and empowering role of the “single-sheet management” approach. In addition, the company should accelerate digital and intelligent development as well as scenario-based applications, using digital tools to reduce workload, improve efficiency, and comprehensively enhance operational management capabilities.
