he Contract of 220KV Transmission Line from Dongola to Wadi comes into force

The Project, 220KV Transmission Line from Dongola to Wadi, which is contracted by our company achieved the Advance Payment from the Owner at the date of June 17th and June 29th, 2009. It indicated that the Contract of this Project formally come into force.

The 200KV Dongola-Wadi Transmission Line Project locates in the north-west of Sudan, and the transmission line starts from Dongola to the frontier of Egypt, Wadi. The sum length of line is 374 kilometers. The Transmission Line traverses the Nile, and there are desert and hill along the line. The conditions of hypsography and geology are poor which are exhibited as the frequent sandstorm and grimily land. The work scope includes the basic and detailed design, engineering, testing, supply of the equipment, transportation to site, inter-site unloading, erection work, the supervision of erection, the EPC work for three transformer substation and service work etc. The primary harmony meeting was being held during the dates of June 15th to June 21st at Khartoum in Sudan. Many issues as General Milestone Payments Schedule, Clearance, Inside Transportation and Examining Progress of Drawing have been confirmed on the meeting. The concept design of Transmission Line and transformer substation were also approved on this harmony meeting.

Up to now, the Contracts for the design of the transformer substation, transmission line and design supervision have been signed and the Project now comes into the stage for bid evaluating of the main equipment of line and the primary main equipment of transformer substation.
