On October 30 and 31, 2013,General Electric(GE) held its global EPC summit themed "innovation, depth and growth" in Istanbul, Turkey. Sixty-five well-known international enterprises from 24 countries attended the summit, which selected and honored outstanding industrial partners. HEI was named Most Valuable Customer for its good reputation and cooperative performance—the only Chinese company to receive this award. HEI Vice President Wang Shimin received the award on behalf of the company.
At the summit’s opening ceremony, the Turkish Secretary of Energy delivered an important speech and various senior experts and business leaders from GE introduced current global energy challenges, opportunities and coping strategies from industrial and professional perspectives.
During the course ofthe summit, Mr. Wang Shimin, Vice President of HEI, met independently with Mr. Vik Bey, Vice President of GE Power & Water. Both sides agreed that since signing their strategic cooperation memorandum in 2013 the two sides had won a consecutive number of major projects together and laid a solid foundation for deep, continuous cooperation. The two parties also exchanged views on their current cooperation regarding service quality and terms of equipment payment, as well as reached a consensus on personnel training.
