After signing the contract for the Pakistan Bhikki Project, HEI signs another large order for a 209HA H-Class Combined Cycle Power Plant. On November 2nd, HEI and the Pakistan government holding company National Power Parks Management Co., Ltd. officially signed an EPC Contract for the Pakistan Balloki 1223MW Combined Cycle Power Plant. The successful signing of this project further enlarges the market share of HEI in the field of combined cycle power plants in Pakistan and makes HEI the enterprise to sign the most contracts for 209HA H-Class Combined Cycle Power Plants ever contracted to be built by a Chinese enterprise. CEO of the employer company Rashid Langrial and Vice President of HEI Mr. Wang Shimin signed the contract on behalf of their respective parties.

Located approximately 65 km southwest of Lahore in Punjab Province, this Plant is an integrated EPC turnkey project with a gross installed capacity of 1223MW, comprising 209HA gas turbines from GE, 2 HRSG (Heat Recovery Steam Generator) units and 1 steam turbine generator. The work scope of this EPC contract includes the supply of BTG and the balance of the Plant’s design, construction, installation, commissioning, testing, training and technology services.

Since HEI embarked on its first project in Pakistan in 1983 - the Guddu 200MW Thermal Power Plant Project - it has built 30% of the power plants in the country. During the past 30 years, HEI has constructed more then 40 high-efficiency and environmentally friendly power plants based on good quality and high integrity, becoming a first-class international EPC contractor.

The successive signing of the Pakistan Balloki Combined Cycle Power Plant and the Pakistan Bhikki Project further promotes the influence of HEI and lays a solid foundation for the Company to fully explore the international combined cycle power plant market.
