On February 17th, 2016, HEI and Siddiqsons Energy Limited officially signed the EPC contract for the Pakistan 350MW Super-Critical Coal Fired Power Plant Project. The CEO of Siddiqsons Energy Limited Mr. Abdul Rahim Rafi and the Chief Marketing Director of HEI Mr. Ge Xin representing each Party signed the Contract.
This project is another significant breakthrough for HEI after signing contracts for the Pakistan Bhikki Project and Balloki Project in 2015, which are two large-scale Combined Cycle Power Plant Projects. The site of this project is located near to Bin Qasim Harbor in the city of Karachi, Sindh Province, Pakistan. The project, with a total installed capacity of 350MW, is expected to officially commence at the end of July, 2016, and will achieve its COD in 31 months. The scope of this EPC contract includes but is not limited to design, supply, construction, installation, testing, commissioning, training and technical service.
From HEI’s first EPC turnkey project in Pakistan, the Pakistan Guddu 200MW Oil Fired Thermal Power Plant, HEI has contracted 16 EPC Projects in Pakistan (including those completed and those under construction), and has won full affirmation from the project owners by virtue of its excellent technology, scientific management and quality service. The successful signing of the Pakistan Siddiqsons Project will further expand HEI’s electricity market share in Pakistan, which has important strategic significance for HEI’s comprehensive development of the electricity market in Pakistan and neighboring countries.
