On December 21st, 2016, after making great efforts in the Indonesian power market and winning customer’s favor with its good performance and brand advantages, HEI signed a EPC contract in Kuala Lumpur with the YTL Group for the Tanjung Jati 2x660 MW Ultra Supercritical Clean Coal Power Station Project. The signing ceremony was attended by YTL Group President Yang Zhongli and General Manager Yang Suhong, and HEI Chairman Guo Yu and Vice Present Wang Shimin.

The owner of the project, YTL is one of the most powerful groups in Malaysia. Its business scope includes electricity, construction, cement, information communication, real estate development, Holiday Leisure, e-commerce and so on. The Tanjung Jati 2x660 MW Ultra Supercritical Clean Coal Power Station Project is located in West Java, this is the first electric power project jointly carried out by HEI and YTL, and it is also the third EPC project of HEI in Indonesian market. The signing of this project is a strategic significance for HEI to promote further development in Indonesian market and strengthen its cooperation relationship with YTL.
