Good news came from Guddu Combined-Cycle Power Plant Project site on March 10, 2014, when the HEI-contracted 747-MW Guddu Combined-Cycle Power Plant successfully achieved synchronization of Unit 1., which laid a solid foundation for the project’s combined-cycle power generation and the eventual transfer of its units.

The Guddu Combined-Cycle Power Plant Project was financed and developed by Central Power Generation Company Limited, the second largest power generation subsidiary of Pakistan Electric Power Company. Since the project’s commencement on September 9, 2011, HEI teams have been on site all the year round, working tirelessly and cooperatively on this major project. They have defied the arduousness of the task, focused their minds, moved forward with courage and have achieved immense success. Several key milestones have been reached recently in the completion of power back-feeding of the 500-KV switchyard and in the startup and synchronization of Unit 1.

At present, HEI’s people are continuing their forward march toward accomplishing the project’s next objective. To reward our client by fulfilling their commitment to the people as well as to build HEI’s own brand, every effort has been and will be made to achieve combined-cycle power generation as quickly and efficiently as possible.
