HEI Successfully Achieves Synchronization of First Unit of Sudan Upper Atbara Project |

On January 4th, 2017 (local time), witnessed by the owner and owner’s engineer, the first unit of HEI’s Sudan Upper Atbara 4×80MW Hydropower Project passed its loading test (with a single unit rate load of 80MW) and load shedding test, and successfully achieved its synchronization. On January 5th, Republic of Sudan Minister of Electricity Mr. Mutaz and Republic of Sudan State Minister Mr. Khidir arrived at the site by a special plane for site inspection, during which they stated in a live television speech that they are satisfied with the achievements made in the Sudan Upper Atbara Project, and gave a high appraisal of HEI.
Since its commencement, HEI's Sudan Upper Atbara Project division has not only made every endeavor to overcome such difficulties as a tight schedule, heavy workload and arduous conditions, but also carried out elaborate planning, overall arrangements and active collaboration with the owner. Due to their efforts, the generator rotor of the first unit was successfully hoisted on October 22th, 2016, laying a solid foundation for its synchronization, and winning high praise from the owner. |
