On the morning of June 13 local time, the inauguration ceremony for the completion of the Mexico Manzanillo III 350MW Combined Cycle Power Plant, constructed by Harbin Electric International (HEI), was held. Claudia Sheinbaum, President of Mexico, personally attended the ceremony to inaugurate the power plant alongside the management of the project owner, the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), representatives from the energy departments of the Mexican federal government, and the on-site construction team of HEI, expressing congratulations on the successful completion of the project.

Claudia Sheinbaum, President of Mexico
At the ceremony site, President Sheinbaum made a special trip to the central control room of the power plant for an on-site inspection. In front of the large screen in the control room, the President carefully examined the operating parameters of the units and inquired about their operational status. President Sheinbaum spoke highly of the project's construction quality, green environmental indicators, and construction safety control standards. The CEO of the CFE of Mexico expressed high appreciation for the high-quality completion of the Manzanillo III Project. Officials at all levels of CFE sent letters of thanks to the HEI project team, thanking them for their contributions to Mexico's power supply guarantee.
The Manzanillo III Project is a key livelihood power project of the Mexican federal government; as early as the critical stage of the project's gas turbine grid synchronization, President Sheinbaum had visited the construction site to inspect and guide the work. Her presence at the site once again for this completion ceremony fully reflects the Mexican government's high regard for the project, providing strong support for the power plant's subsequent warranty operation and maintenance, as well as localized collaborative efforts.
During project execution, HEI thoroughly implemented the "Six Guarantees" strategic deployment of Harbin Electric Corporation (HEC) and comprehensively advanced the "guaranteeing contract fulfillment of international projects"; it coordinated key tasks such as safety, quality, and schedule through lean management, effectively responding to challenges including complex technical standards, high localization implementation requirements, and difficult on-site interface management. The project team efficiently completed critical milestones such as back-feeding, gas turbine grid synchronization, combined cycle full-set start-up, performance tests, reliability operation, and project handover, achieving high-standard contract fulfillment and winning recognition from the owner and partners.
As a landmark achievement of HEI's strategic layout in Latin America and its deep cultivation of the Americas' power market, the Manzanillo III Power Plant, once put into operation, will effectively enhance the local power supply capacity. Moving forward, HEI's on-site operation and maintenance team will continue to deliver high-quality technical services and defect rectification during the warranty period, ensuring the long-term safe, stable, and efficient operation of the project, while contributing more of Harbin Electric's strength to deepening pragmatic cooperation between China and Mexico in the energy sector.
