During the week of June 19-23, 2017, a delegation headed by HEI President Qu Aimin paid special visits to the senior management of Ukraine International Industry Project Company and Naftogas Ukraine, including the chairman of Ukraine International Industry Project Company and the president of Naftogas Ukraine, and the relevant government departments such as the Economic and Commercial Counselor's Office of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Ukraine, the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine and the State Property Fund of Ukraine, for deep exchange about coal-electricity integration projects, coal-fired power station construction projects, new energy projects and privatization programs. At the same time, they also made field surveys at the project sites concerned.

The visits by Qu further sped up the progress of the cooperation in the Ukrainian electric power project, determined the project development plan with the owners, clarified the work contents and direction for the next-step cooperation between both parties, and increased the influence of HEI on the Ukrainian electric power market and the Ukrainian governments, which plays a very important role in helping HEI develop the Ukrainian electric power market.
