On Sept. 22, 2017, the Ministry of Commerce arranged for 62 international commercial officials of the "2017 Training Class for Power Grid Construction and Operation Capability Construction in African Countries" from 14 African French-speaking countries such as Benin, Cote d'ivoire, Gabon, Chad and Equatorial Guinea to visit and investigate in HE, understanding China’s actual capability in power equipment manufacturing and conducted an exchange, which was the second largest investigation activity, only after the delegation of 130 international commercial officials from 19 countries along the Belt and Road organized by the Ministry of Commerce in July this year, playing an active role in further lifting HE’s notability and influence around the world.

In this investigation, the international commercial officials paid a visit to Datang Harbin No. 1 Thermal Power Plant and HE’s exhibition hall. They also heard the introduction to HE’s development course, coal-fired power, hydropower, gas-fired power and nuclear power products and capabilities in EPC of international projects and participated in the exchange activities held in HE.

During the exchange, the training class officials had a deep understanding of HE’s scope of business, product standards, operation and maintenance capabilities, project scopes and project costs, and gave praise to HE’s products, honors and achievements in overseas EPC projects. Officials from the African grid construction training class expressed their thanks to the Ministry of Commerce and HE for providing them with the opportunity to deeply understand excellent Chinese enterprises in power product manufacturing and EPC and hoped that they will be able to have a cooperation with HEI in their countries’ electric power construction so as to solve their problems of electricity supply shortage.

Ge Xin, Market Director of HEI, offered full interpretation to the African officials during the whole process. Relevant personnel of the General Office of HE participated in the reception activity.
