On August 23, 2018, Engineering News Record (ENR) released its list of the 2018 Global Top 250 International Contractors and HEI ranked 65th, two places up from 2017. A total of 69 Chinese enterprises were listed as “The world’s top 250 international contractors” and HEI ranked 14th among the Chinese enterprises.

The total overseas business turnover of the 250 enterprises in the 2018 list is USD 482.035 billion, a year-on-year growth of 0.29%. It has been the very first increase in the recent three years. The total international business turnover of the listed Chinese enterprises is USD 114.097 billion, an increase of 15.3% compared with that of the last year. It accounts for 23.7% of the international business turnover of all the listed enterprises, an increase of 2.6 percentage points compared with the turnover of the previous year. The 2017 annual operation revenue of HEI is USD 1.628 billion, a year-on-year growth of 7.69%. Since 2011, HEI has achieved progressive increase development against the trend for seven years in a row and its ENR rankings hit record highs.
