The chief function of 300MW nuclear unit steam generator is to serve as heat exchanger transferring the heat in primary line coolant to the feedwater of secondary line, enabling to generate saturated steam to drive the power unit in the secondary line. The coolant flowed from the reactor go through the hot pipe in primary line and enter into the inlet pipe of the lower gland of the steam generator and then into water chamber, flow within the reversal U-shaped tube bundle. The outer surface of the reversal U-shaped tube is in contact with the feedwater of the secondary line, enabling the gasification of the secondary line. This way, the heat exchange between primary and secondary line is made. Two steam generator for each unit.

300MW nuclear unit steam generator is vertical U-shaped tube one with natural circulation. It is 17.5m in height, 3m in diameter. Its main components are consisted of upper and lower gland, tube plate, U-shaped tube bundle, steam-water separator and cylinder etc.
